Marsh Portable Weighbridge Systems

Bulk products traded by weight must now be weighed on a certified weighbridge as part of the new Weights and Measures Regulations.

Neville Marsh designed a set of scales approximately six years ago for weighing grass and maize silage and after a few minor modifications the Marsh Model SW 30 T Portable Weighbridge was certified to weigh 'green weight' silage. We now have approval to weigh other products as long as the Conditions of Approval are met. It is capable of weighing four-wheeler, six wheeler, eight wheeler trucks and two axle, three axle, four axle trailers.

We have now certified a slightly larger dimension weighbridge. The weighing platform is 2.8 metres long x 2.9 metres wide so the majority of tractor and trailer units will fit. Both platforms and ramps are all galvanised. Total weight is just under 1800 kilograms.

All weighbridges are now fitted with the Rinstrum 5230 dedicated truck weighing indicator. It has vehicle ID, date and time, which is printed onto the weighbridge docket
